Today Melissa and I went out to the Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve in DuPage County. It was really pretty, but very hilly. I think it's the closest you'll get to trail running in the Chicagoland area. We did 5 miles in just under an hour.
That's out by me!!! Next time you're planning on coming out here let me know and I'll meet up with you for a run! Though, you do run much faster than me... and I SUCK at running in the cold (like your Saturday post, except I make it through about a quarter mile before I can't breathe... the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving blew because of it!)
